HOW IT WORKS
A few 'Behind-the-Scenes' impressions.
The camera system that I use (currently a Canon EOS R5 with a resolution of 8,192 x 5,464px has proven successful for me) which is attached to the film camera must not exceed a certain size and weight, otherwise it would collide with the U-crane’s flight head or impair the overall performance with the film camera. Other technical challenges are the power supply, the triggering of the camera, autofocus and the data handling of tens of thousands of photos during the runs.
Together with many well-known film productions (special mention should be made of Hochkant Film GmbH & Co. KG for their support since the beginning) and my main client Porsche AG, I have developed this special variant of photography over the last two years and continue to work on optimising it. The simultaneous use of the photo and cine camera in the DOUBLE PACK will also have economic benefits, allowing maximum content creation without excessive photography costs.
Of course, an exclusive photo shoot with the U-crane system is also possible, for which there is a separate arm/flight head. In addition to use with many common medium format systems, simultaneous use with a second 35 mm photo camera is also feasible. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
